Care & Share Friday Back Pack Ministry
The WUMC BACKPACKS ministry is in business again, and is currently supplying 32 food bags weekly to kids in grades K-12 at Westville Schools. Because of the Pandemic, there are some new safety guidelines. All food must be pre-packaged. The following items are needed:
Canned meals, such as spaghettio’s, ravioli, Soup
Canned meats, such as chicken, tuna
Mac & cheese meals or individual servings
Cereal (individual servings or smaller boxes that will fit in a bag
Pancake mix
Snacks Individually packaged such as Cheezits, crackers, pretzels, nuts, raisins,
Granola bars, breakfast bars
Individual serving fruit cups, such as applesauce, peaches, pears
Individual Instant oatmeal
Individual Puddings
Hot cocoa to be mixed with water
We also really need volunteers! PACKERS (Thursday’s) and DELIVERERS (Fridays)
We are providing healthy snacks for the weekend for kids at school. At this time we provide 32 bags every Friday. Donations of healthy snacks or money are welcome.

For several years, my husband and I have been sharing our garden abundance. We are not members of your church and have relied on the sign to let us know when you are doing your care and share. I understand due to covid-19, things have changed. However, my husband’s green thumb has not.
